Built on Consistency, Timing & Trust
Tyler Hayes developed a passion for farming early while working on his grandpa’s farm and ranch. There, he learned the value of hard work and the importance of honesty and integrity in the agricultural industry.
Tyler’s educational journey led him to USU, where he met his wife Leah and pursued a degree in Animal Science and Ag Business. She pursued a degree in Ag Business and Accounting, setting them up to be a great team. During their time there, their dedication to the farming and livestock industry grew stronger.
In pursuit of further knowledge and experience, Tyler and Leah completed an internship on a cattle ranch in Leadore, ID. Eventually, they found the opportunity to return and rent the family farm in 2015 and started H3 Farms.
After a few years, they transitioned from growing barley to forage crops. Tyler and Leah decided to make this shift to better align their business with their passion for the livestock industry. They enjoy raising their family on the farm and look forward to serving the agricultural community with their crops and services in the years to come.

We are proud to be based in Rexburg, Idaho, where our farming operation is rooted in the local agricultural community. We actively serve nearby areas including Sugar City, Idaho Falls, Blackfoot, and surrounding regions with full custom hay services.
At the same time, our reach extends far beyond Idaho. Through our nationwide delivery network, we are able to supply hay products to operations across the United States.
Mission Statement
Our vision at H3 Farms is to be a one-stop shop for high-quality hay for cattle, horses, and other livestock. We grow our own forage crops and also purchase quality hay and straw crops from other local farmers off the stump or in the windrow.
We aim to harvest our crops utilizing the most efficient and effective methods to maximize both the quality and quantity of hay in each bale. We run high-density 3’x4’x8′ balers, which allows our customers to get the most weight possible per bale to maximize the efficiency of transportation and storage they have available to them.
We also strive to be the top custom hay and straw harvesting crew from stump or windrow to stack in Southeastern Idaho. We swath, rake, bale, and stack hay utilizing our high-density baler and a unique hay stacker that causes significantly less field and crop damage.
Our goal is to get your crops out of the field and in the stack as quickly and efficiently as possible so you can get on to irrigation or fieldwork as soon as possible.
